Mobile Shop Stop for Schools and Communities

Love Local Food mobile shop visit
The LLF mobile shop is stocked from over 40 local producers and has seasonal vegetables, bread, meat, dairy and more. Our Local Food Mobile Shop Stop can explore what is local and seasonal and discover the food stories behind what we stock. The shop can be open for people to buy some produce! A stop can be extended to include

  • storytelling,
  • farm to plate activities and interactive learning based around seasonality and food miles
  • seasonal cooking

Cost – The stop can be delivered as part of Love Local Food’s weekly timetable of community mobile shop stops. Learning activities are charged from £50 or by donation.

Seasonal Events

LLF creates a seasonal program of activities. These can enhance an existing event or be the focus of a new event. They can include

  • storytelling and creative play activities all with a seasonal food theme
  • plant and seed swaps
  • information about local food producers and projects
  • interactive demonstrations such as apple pressing and cooking

Cost – This depends on the content. Storytelling from £50; Creative play area £50-£150; a Full Event involving music and facilitating other community stalls and activities £200 – £300

Farm visits

Love Local Food Farm visits

Love Local Food farm visits can be for any community group. We work with primary and secondary schools, families, youth groups, senior groups – anyone who is interested in exploring a local farm and how it works to produce food. Visits typically last from 2 hours to a full day and can involve a whole range of activities.

Costs – Some farm visits can be funded through Environmental Stewardship and therefore offered free. Extended visits involving a wider range of activities including seasonal cooking are charged from £50.

Minibus transport through educational charity organicarts £50

Local food simple meal between £2 and £5 / person depending on nature of meal.

Producer Talks and Food Workshops

Farm Visit
